Jay Nicholson received the Quarter-Century Operator Award from the Water Environment of South Carolina. This recognizes operators of wastewater treatment facilities for their service and dedication in a difficult and dangerous profession for a minimum of 25 years, 10 of which must have been in active participation in the day-to-day collections, maintenance, operations, laboratory, or management of a wastewater transportation or treatment facility.

 

Donna West received the Capital District Lifetime Service Award from the Water Environment Association of South Carolina – Capital District. This district award acknowledges extraordinary personal service to the Capital District of the Water Environment Association of South Carolina. The award specifically recognizes the member’s organizational leadership, administrative service, membership activity, stimulation of technical functions, or similar Capital District function participation.

 

Mike Coffey received the Water Distribution Operator of the Year Award from the Water Environment Association of South Carolina – Capital District. This district award is given to recognize excellent achievement in the area of water distribution operations, to include preventative maintenance, program development and implementation.

Caleb Taylor received the Rookie of the Year Award from the Water Environment Association of South Carolina – Capital District. This district award recognizes outstanding performance by individuals with at least three months, but not more than two years, experience at the time of nomination. The award specifically recognizes the nominee’s demonstrated eagerness to learn and expand knowledge of processes, as well as the volume of new information absorbed by the nominee in the time employed. The award also recognizes the nominee’s exceptional effort on behalf of the system’s operations and outstanding effort in system operations under difficult circumstances.
