JMWSC intends to install a new 24-inch gravity sewer in the Old Orangeburg Road area in order to decommission a portion of a 12-inch force main that serves the southern portion of our service area and provide additional sewer capacity in this area. The project will also allow us to decommission the Regency Square lift station. The project will extend from the Commission’s decommissioned sewage treatment facility along Sandy Springs Lane to Old Orangeburg Road via a private easement along the eastern edge of Regency Square Subdivision. The project will be funded by a loan from the SCDHEC’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund. This project will be discussed at our office on July 19, 2023 at 5:00 PM where we’ll discuss the need for the project, alternatives evaluated, rationale for the selected alternative, and environmental and financial impacts of the project.
